## Description

Do you have an enthusiastic reader? Or perhaps a bit more reluctant one, by chance? If so, consider signing your child up for the fun experience of reading to a therapy dog at our library!

Studies show that children who may feel reluctant to read in front of their peers are much less anxious when an animal is present, as they don't perceive them as judgmental. So, reading aloud to them often helps children become much more comfortable with their reading.

And with this highly experienced group of therapy dogs at Belmont...even children who are not yet reading themselves can still join in, as families are welcome to sit down together to share a book and entertain these pups with a bedtime story.
