Open-Level Waacking Workshop

Want to know more about queer dance culture? Excited to try a unique form of street dance? Learn about Waacking from Alice Hur! Waacking is a street dance style that stemmed from queer dance spaces in LA during the 1970s and 80s. This dance form, known for powerful arm movements and striking poses, is rooted in freedom of self-expression and resilience. This open-level waacking dance workshop will focus on the history of waacking/punking, movement foundation, and musicality. Ages 12+
