FindKobi started with one simple question: “Where can we take my son that’s actually right for his age?” After countless hours lost to endless scrolling trying to find the perfect fit, I built the resource I wish I’d had, so other Bay Area parents can spend less time planning and more time together.

## Hi, I’m Gen.

First-time mom here. My wife and I have called San Francisco home for almost 10 years. Before becoming parents, our little family was made up of the two of us and our cat, Waffle. Then, 16 months ago, our son Miles changed everything.

Everyone tells you that becoming a parent changes your life. You read the books, listen to friends, watch the videos, and think you have some idea of what’s coming.

For me, the first year of motherhood was the hardest year of my life. I struggled with postpartum anxiety and postpartum depression while trying to figure out who I was as a mom, a wife, and still myself. There were days that felt impossibly heavy, and I often felt overwhelmed by what felt like a tornado of decisions.

As the clouds slowly began to lift, I found myself wanting something simple: to get out of the house and start making memories with my family.

Every weekend, I’d spend far too long scrolling through websites, Instagram accounts, blogs, and event calendars trying to answer one question:

Where can we take Miles that’s actually right for his age?

At the time, he was still crawling. Most lists were filled with activities that weren’t a good fit for where he was developmentally. I wanted places where he could safely explore, where there were kid-friendly food options, and where we could simply enjoy being together.

The irony wasn’t lost on me. I wanted to spend quality time with my family, but I was spending that time staring at my phone.

So I built FindKobi .

FindKobi is a simple way for parents in the San Francisco Bay Area to discover age-appropriate events and activities each week without the endless scrolling. It’s the resource I wish I’d had when I was overwhelmed, exhausted, and just trying to make the most of our weekends.

Instead of spending my time scrolling, I’m spending it with my son. My hope is that FindKobi helps other parents cut through the decision fatigue so they can spend less time planning, more time making memories, and get back to what matters most.
